1990 Suzuki Carry converted to electric in March 2009. Original components were 8 inch Advanced DC motor, Curtis controller and 450 kg of 15 x 8 volt wet cell Lead acid batteries. Performance was good but range was only 60 km and I couldn't use the rear seat due to weight restriction.
In February 2012 I upgraded the battery pack to Headway LiFePO4 batteries. 450 x 16 Ah batteries arranged 45 in series of 10 in parallel gave me 144 volts 22kWa

August 2013 a larger motor was fitted and the controller was upgraded to 600 amp Soliton Jr.
